East Coast Railway, Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Bhubaneswar has released a notification on its official website for the recruitment of 588 Apprentice vacancies in various disciplines. Please read all details carefully before apply.
Last Date to apply is 17th June 2017 till 5 PM
Age as on 17th June 2017
Candidates should have completed 15 years of age
Candidates should not have completed 24 years of age
Age Relaxation in Upper Age Limit
5 years for SC/ST candidates
3 years for OBC candidates
10 years for PWD candidates & ex-serviceman
The candidate must have passed 10 th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks, in aggregate, from recognized Board and also should possess the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
Candidates have to apply for any one Unit only. The Units are as under:

Note: Please go through the available training slots vis-à-vis your ITI Trade thoroughly and select the Units accordingly. It should not happen that you select a unit where there is no training slot requirement for your ITI Trade. In such a situation your application may eventually become meaningless, as you would not be allowed to make any changes after the final submission. Moreover, you are also not allowed to make multiple applications, which will lead to rejection of your application summarily.

Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only).
Following process will be followed for selection of candiates:
1. Selection will be on the basis of merit list prepared in respect of all the candidates who apply against the notification. The merit list will be prepared for the purpose on the basis of taking average of matriculation [with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks] plus ITI (in the trade in which Apprenticeship is to be done) marks. The panel will be prepared on the basis of simple average of marks in the matriculation and ITI. For the purpose of calculation of percentage of ITI marks, marks mentioned in the provisional/final certificate will be reckoned.
2. Shortlisted candidates, thus enlisted, will be called for document/Certificate verification to the extent of 1.5 times of the notified vacancies.
3. Candidates finally enlisted would be subject to verification of original testimonials and being found fit in apppropriate Medical examination by Railways as applicable for the Workshop and for the other Units.
